I am going to put up some questions and my personal answers, feel free to respond! I want to have an adult and serious discussion. Thanks.
#1 What do you think about the Zeitgeist Movement?
My personal opinion is that I think it's a great movement that has potential and what they talk about makes a lot of sense, but their proposal of scrapping money all together cannot be done in a single day. I hope most people that are interested in the movement realize that. What is the alternative to money you might ask. Is it going back to trading? No, moving forward to a resource based economy and building a sustainable world, for everyone.
#2 Do you think that one day it will be unnecessary and even stupid to have money?
Yes.
#3 Do you think it is unethical and unreasonable that there are people who have so much money that they could basically buy a country?
Yes. I think it is senseless because there are so many people starving, without homes while other have more than they can ever use. Not only that, it gives them power that isn't fair.
#4 Can you see some illogical things about our society that should be changed?
Yes, many, but I will only name one for now. Consider this, two developers, each working at a different company and they are competitors. For example, one is working at BMW and the other one is working at Volvo. They are both trying to make a new type of system which allows the car to drive it self. During the development both make similar progress, but they might be doing progress on different parts at different times. They might have completely different approaches to the same issue. The point is that are not aware of each others work, because they are not allowed to share information. Instead of working together to solve the same problem, they work separately. Why? Because the people they work for is interested in personal profit. Does it matter for the developers if they work for BMW or Volvo? NO! It only matters for the big shots! Would it benefit all of mankind of they all worked together instead?! YES! Someone might argue that it is good that people work at different places, because one might come up with a better solution than the other instead of all working at the same bad solution. That is true, but people could still do that and share their discoveries and solutions, that would be even better. OPEN SOURCE FTW!
